Job Overview A law firm seeks a family attorney in Atlanta, GA, to represent clients in various family law matters. The role involves assisting individuals with divorce settlements, court hearings, and issues related to alimony, child custody, and support.
Duties Maintain organized and up-to-date client files.
Create legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements.
Advocate for clients by analyzing situations and forming strategic plans.
Handle the division of marital assets during divorce proceedings.
Attend court proceedings to represent clients as needed.
Requirements Ability to represent both plaintiff and defendant sides effectively.
Member in good standing with the American Bar Association.
1-2 years of experience in family law and real estate issues.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills in stressful situations.
Education Undergraduate degree with a legal background.
Juris Doctor degree required.
Certifications Active membership with the American Bar Association.
Skills Strong organizational and analytical skills.
Proficient in legal document preparation.
Effective negotiation and advocacy abilities.
