Job Description
Registered Nurse - Emergency Room
Schedule
Night shifts from 18:45 to 07:15, 36 or 48 hours per week, with a weekend requirement of every other weekend.
Assignment Details
Contract length and guaranteed hours per week are to be determined.
Requirements
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Level III Trauma Center and Primary Stroke Center.
Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC.
Additional skills: General Emergency Department experience (Adult/Pediatric), dysrhythmia interpretation and management, multisystem organ dysfunction/failure management, blood product administration, IV management, CVA and neuro-trauma care, and trauma-related conditions.
Experience with electronic medical records systems, specifically EPIC.
Travelers accepted; local candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility.
Patient ratio: 1:5.
Responsibilities
Provide emergency nursing care to patients in a fast-paced environment.
Monitor and assess patient conditions, interpreting vital signs and laboratory data.
Administer medications and treatments in accordance with protocols.
Collaborate with healthcare team members to create and implement patient care plans.
Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatments, and preventative care.
Document patient care accurately and promptly in medical records.
