Registered Nurse (RN) - Progressive Care (Step down)
Cardiopulmonary Care Step Down Unit: Fast paced stepdown unit dedicated to the Cardiopulmonary patient population including pneumonia sepsis, Afib, NSTEMI, and advanced heart failure. RNs are supported through telemetry and ACLS certifications.

The Progressive Care (Step down) Registered Nurse (RN) position is responsible for delivering exceptional nursing care to patients by:

Acting as the service line between Med-Surg and ICU units

Developing and performing patient care plans to enhance and improve outcomesEnsuring a safe and therapeutic environment

Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team

Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessment, analyze assessment data, create a plan of care, implement treatment, and evaluate treatment effectiveness

Serve as point of contact for patients' care coordination throughout hospital departments

Act as a patient safety advocate by participating in ongoing quality improvement in the department

Administer medications in a safe manner consistent with the State of Practice and the organization’s policies and procedures

Bachelor of Science Nursing (preferred, not required)

Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)

BLS Basic Life Support or ACLS Advanced Cardiac Life Support (preferred at hire, must obtain from approved source prior to direct patient care, ACLS required within 6 months of hire)

1 year of RN experience (required)

6 months RN experience in an acute care hospital setting (preferred)
