L&D Registered Nurse Weekend

Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery
Schedule: 36 Hours, Varies, Potential for every third weekend
Assignment Details: Contract Length: 13 Weeks Guaranteed Hours: 36
Requirements:

Current state nursing license
IV competent
CPR certification required
NRP certified or ability to obtain NRP certification within 90 days of hire
ACLS upon hire or must hold an active BLS card and obtain AHA ACLS within 60 days of hire
For nurses working in Labor and Delivery, must have/complete AWHONN's Introduction to Fetal Monitoring and attend AWHONN's Intermediate Fetal Heart Monitoring within 1 year
Minimum one year of med/surg experience required
Maternity experience preferred
Roles & Responsibilities:

Assess and reassess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing interventions and patient care plans.
Provide patient care based on established standards, policies, and procedures.
Deliver patient and family education tailored to identified learning needs.
Collaboratively plan and prepare patients and families for discharge, incorporating necessary support systems.
Safely administer medications and intravenous therapy in accordance with physician's orders.
Monitor patient conditions and communicate with physicians regarding any changes.
Assist in stabilizing high-risk patients and provide care to postpartum and gynecological patients.
Conduct comprehensive assessments of newborns and provide appropriate care and education to new mothers.
