Job Description

TITLE

Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

SCHEDULE

• Shifts: 7a-7p and 7p-7a (alternate)
• Weekend requirement: Every other weekend
• Holiday requirement: Available every other holiday, if needed

ASSIGNMENT DETAILS

- Contract Length: 13 weeks

REQUIREMENTS

• License: Active RN license required (not Compact)
• Experience: Minimum 1 year of emergency department/trauma experience implied by skill set
• Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS (valid NIHSS required at submittal)
• EMR: EPIC experience required

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide comprehensive nursing assessment for emergency patients.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments according to protocols and standards.
• Monitor and document patient conditions, responding to changes appropriately.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient care delivery.
• Educate patients and families on health management and emergency care procedures.

COMPLIANCE / NOTES

• Orientation: 24 hours
• Candidates with more than 10 days of RTO cannot be submitted
• Background checks reviewed case-by-case
