Screen Prep Operator
Job Title: Screen Prep Operator | 1st & 2nd shift available | Walkthrough ONLY!
The Screen Prep Operator will be responsible for preparing screens and components for assembly and fabrication. This involves cutting materials to specified lengths using a bandsaw and tape measure, splitting and rolling them to meet required specifications. The operator will perform faceoff work by spinning the screen and grinding against it, and use a bridge saw to grind and deburr excess metal to achieve the final length and finish. The operator will support the daily functions of the shop and assist other departments as needed, performing visual inspections to ensure quality standards are met.
Prepare screens and components for assembly and fabrication.
Cut materials to specified lengths using a bandsaw and tape measure.
Perform visual inspections to ensure materials meet quality standards.
Experience in machine operation and fabrication.
General labor skills.
Mechanical aptitude.
Comfortable with standing throughout the entire shift.

The work takes place in a machine shop environment that is climate-controlled. The job includes two shifts: 1st shift from 5am - 3pm, Monday through Thursday, with overtime on Fridays; and 2nd shift from 3pm - 1am, Monday through Thursday, with a $2 shift differential. Training on 1st shift for two months is required, with flexibility in scheduling.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Paul, MN.
