Head of Project Management

Project Manager – MEP (Buildings Sector) Based in San Diego, California.

Responsibilities Identify, research, and qualify RFP/RFQ and upcoming projects for go/no go potential.

Manage existing and develop new client relationships.

Perform at a responsible charge level, meeting EXP's design and quality levels.

Manage work plans and deliverables on multiple projects within budgeted hours.

Work with project team and clients to meet scheduled project milestones on multiple projects.

Apply risk‑management procedures daily to minimize EXP's and client’s exposure to problems.

Understand MEP/FP work planning and manage the design process to the available hours in the work plan.

Understand proper scope of MEP/FP SD, DD, CD level documents and deliver appropriate documentation.

Edit and develop scope of work narratives (SD narrative, basis of design, etc.).

Develop equipment room sizes during SD and DD phases.

Maintain thorough knowledge of Mechanical/Electrical codes.

Advanced equipment selection and analysis (generators, UPS units, chillers, boilers).

QA/QC reviews of all calculations by designers and provide guidance and mentoring.

Advanced equipment selection and analysis – chillers, boilers, air terminals, cooling towers, HEPA filters, DX equipment, and water source heat pumps.

Qualifications Engineering Bachelor’s degree in HVAC/Mechanical Engineering with 8+ years of building HVAC and piping design experience.

Experience designing HVAC systems for Science/Technology, Life Sciences or Healthcare projects.

Experience with Project Management and leading multidisciplinary team projects.

Revit MEP proficiency required.
