Work Shift:

Endoscopy Services

Provides professional nursing care to assigned patients in an efficient and caring manner. Coordinates care planning with other caregivers and with other areas, adheres to universal precautions, and is compliant with infection control policies. Works independently with minimal supervision. Meets the needs of the ST, Surgeon, anesthesia, and patient during the procedure. Provides direct patient care in accordance with physician orders in a warm and friendly manner.

Assesses condition and provides treatment for care of patient.

Participates in maintaining physician preference cards.

Uses Epic system to enter orders, confirm orders, print reports. May use other computer programs required in area of responsibility.

May be asked to serve on department specialty focus team.

Documents implant records completely and accurately. Ensure correct charges are documented.

Follows Time-Out Policy.

Leads counts and ensures Count Policy is followed.

Hand Off Reporting to recovering nurse.

Current Ohio RN License and ADN.

Ability to read, write and explain or describe moderately complex information to other hospital staff.

Ability to collect data, interpret findings, set priorities and carry out established plan.

Demonstrates competence in age-specific patient care.
