Our mission at Veterans Inc. is to support Veterans and their families across America with a national referral hotline and direct care in all six New England states, Montana and North Dakota through the provision of specialized assistance to help Veterans regain self-sufficiency coordinating access to housing, employment and training, case management, food security, behavioral healthcare, suicide prevention, and women's programs.

We are seeking an HR Generalist with a strong background in benefits and leave administration. Manage enrollments, terminations, and status changes for various benefits like health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee benefit activities.

Maintain employee benefit files and the group benefits database.

Prepare and submit monthly reconciliation benefit reports related to benefits data.

Act as point of contact for processing claims for employee accidents through workers' compensation.

Manage the leave of absence process, including FMLA, short-term and long-term disability, and other types of leave in each respective State.

Provide customer service to employees regarding benefits and leave inquiries.

Conduct informational sessions and training on benefits and leave programs.

Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations is posted on HR Boards.

Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration or a related field

• 3+ years of Human Resources work experience, preferably with a focus on benefits and leave administration
• Experience working in a nonprofit administrative setting and coordinating with third party vendors
• BCBS Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance
