We are seeking a strategic and people-focused Human Resources Director to lead our human resources function and help cultivate a workplace where employees thrive and our mission comes to life every day.
The Human Resources Director serves as a key member of the leadership team and is responsible for developing and implementing human resource strategies that support the YMCA's mission, values, and organizational goals. This position oversees talent acquisition, employee relations, compensation and benefits, performance management, training and development, compliance, and organizational culture.
Lead all aspects of human resources operations for the YMCA.
Develop and implement recruitment and retention strategies to attract and retain top talent.
Provide coaching and guidance to supervisors and managers on employee relations, performance management, and leadership development.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and YMCA policies.
Administer employee benefits, compensation programs, and leave management.
Ensures accurate personnel records and HR reporting systems.
Oversee Property and Casualty insurance and manage risk management and employee safety programs.
Works directly with assigned committees of the board to build volunteer relationships, develop and oversee policy implementation and meet the related needs of the board.
Represents the YMCA with key community organizations and events as required.
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, or Business Administration. Minimum of 4 years of progressive HR leadership experience; Strong knowledge of employment law, HR best practices, and compliance requirements.
Experience with HRIS systems, payroll administration, and benefits management preferred.
