Job Title: Traffic Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Traffic Engineer to join our dynamic Transportation & Traffic Engineering department. This role involves developing comprehensive traffic engineering design packages and conducting in-depth traffic analysis to support local agencies.

Develop traffic engineering design packages, including traffic signal plans, signing and striping plans, pavement marking plans, electrical plans, lighting plans, and maintenance and protection of traffic plans.

Perform capacity analysis, operational analysis, traffic forecasting, traffic data interpretation, and crash data analysis.

Conduct transportation simulation to evaluate and improve traffic flow.

Proficiency in civil engineering, Microstation, Synchro, and AutoCad.

2-3 years of experience in traffic/transportation projects, including work with NJDOT and NYDOT.

Expertise in traffic signals, traffic studies, roadway design, and highway design.

Experience with HCS, Vissim, Civil 3D, and AGi32 is preferred.

Our team is composed of approximately 20 employees, including traffic data collection staff, traffic engineering technicians, transportation engineers, traffic analysis engineers, and engineering consultants. We are a family-owned business with a tight-knit community, fostering close contact with upper management and a major focus on developing employee skillsets. We take pride in having no layoffs in our 30 years of operation.

This is a Permanent position based out of Trenton, NJ.
