Job Description
Join a Dynamic ICU Team as a Night Nurse!
Job Description:

• Position: Med Surg ICU RN
• Shift: 12-hour nights

- Experience Required:
- 2 years recent ICU experience
- Location Restrictions:

• 50 miles radius rule
• Candidates may not be employed full-time, part-time, or PRN with any affiliated facilities

- License:
- Driver's license required at submittal
- Nail Policy:
- Artificial nails prohibited in patient care areas
- Orientation:

• Pass/Fail exam during orientation
• Open book exam; must score 90% to pass

- Unit Details:

• 34 beds
• Patient Ratios: 1:1-2 in ICU; 1:4-5 in PCU; 1:5-6 in Med Surg

- Patient Demographics:
- Adults and Peds
15 years old
- Common Diagnoses:
- Neuro surgery, respiratory failure, ARDS, sepsis, stroke, cardiogenic shock, renal failure, general surgery, psych/OD, GI bleeds, cancer surgeries
- Equipment:
- Vents, Cpap, BiPap, High Flow
- Responsibilities with Equipment:
- Nasal cannula to vents; troubleshooting
- Telemetry:
- No techs; must read and interpret Draeger heart monitoring strips
- Scheduling:

• Manager makes schedules based on unit needs
• Weekend Requirements: Every other
• Holiday Requirements: 2 out of 3 major holidays or as needed

- Floating:
- Will float to all inpatient units, excluding Maternity/NICU
- Dress Code:
- Navy Blue scrubs
- Orientation:
- 2 shifts of unit-specific orientation
- Work Environment:
- Fast-paced unit with high volume
