Teacher Of Science (Middle & High School)

Core Instructional Responsibilities:Implement a rigorous curriculum aligned with the Florida StandardsPrepare lesson plans that differentiate instruction to meet the needs of students with various learning stylesMaintain attendance and grade records as required by the school and PBCSDConduct ongoing assessment of student achievement through formal and informal testing and use that data to drive instructionEnsure that all 504 plans and IEPs are met to support the individual needs of all studentsPlan and use appropriate instructional and learning strategies; daily activities, materials, and technology that demonstrate an understanding of the various learning styles and needs of all studentsEstablish and maintain standards of student behavior needed to provide an orderly, productive classroom environmentMaintain open and regular communication through conferences and data chats with parents, students, colleagues, and principals to discuss academic, behavioral, and social progressEnforce and uphold the school’s mission, vision, values, policies, culture, and model the school’s values in all interactions with students, colleagues, families, and the communityWork collaboratively as a teamAdhere to all child abuse reporting requirements/lawsComply with the standards of conduct, ethics, and/or conflicts of interest for teachers and/or employees of the schoolAttend department, staff, school, district, and parent meetingsParticipate in various students and school activitiesPerform supervisory duties as assigned by Principal and Assistant Principals (morning and afternoon duty, administer state tests, etc.)Maintain current state licensure(s) and/or certification(s) as required by lawPursue and engage in opportunities for professional growthPerform other duties as assigned by AdministrationQualifications:Bachelor’s Degree (or above)Candidates need to be certified through the Florida Department of Education in either Science or have a medical profession background (Physician, Nurse, EMT, or Physical Therapists)Valid Florida Department of Education teaching certificate (professional or temporary)Valid Florida Department of Education statement of eligibilityInlet Grove Community Middle and High School is a Drug-Free workplace.
