Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Fitter/Welder will be responsible for, but not limited to:

Read and follow detailed written instructions and fabrication drawings.
Successfully pass a 1-inch thick 2-G welder qualification.
Pass a tack welder qualification (visual macro break test).
Operate carbon air-arc equipment for back gouging processes.
Mentor apprentices and junior fitter/welders by sharing knowledge and safe work practices.
Minimum 3 years of fitting/welding structural steel experience.
Ability to operate overhead cranes.
Current or past AWS certification for FCAW, MCAW.
Organization skills and the ability to be flexible in managing changing priorities.
