Phlebotomy/Phlebotomist (Healthcare)

Phlebotomist II Pride Health is hiring Phlebotomist II to support our client's medical facility-based in Fredericksburg VA USA 22408. This is a 3+ month assignment (Possibility of extension or conversion) opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

The Patient Services Representative (PSR II) represent the face of our company to patients who come in, both as part of their health routine or for insights into life-defining health decisions. PSR II draw quality blood samples from patients and prepare those specimens for lab testing while following established practices and procedures. PSR II have direct contact with patients and creates an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures to patients and drawing blood specimens in a skillful, safe and accurate manner. PSR II will demonstrate Leadership Behaviors while focusing on process excellence skills and sensitivity to confidentiality and accuracy to patient information. Successful applicants may be assigned to a doctor's office, a patient service center or as business needs dictate. Perform safe, accurate venipuncture and capillary blood draws, including pediatric and geriatric collections

Conduct clinical and forensic specimen collection and processing following established procedures

Prepare, label, verify, and process specimens for laboratory testing

Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with company and regulatory standards

Demonstrate leadership behaviors, process excellence, and confidentiality of patient information

Ability to provide high-quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Excellent customer service and communication skills

High school diploma or equivalent.

Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.

Phlebotomy certification preferred. Work Experience:

1 3 years of phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric and capillary collections.

1+ years Customer service in a preferred retail or service environment.

Keyboard/data entry experience
