Door StainerOperates a spray-painting system or other equipment to apply industrial paint finishes on metal, fiberglass, wood, or vinyl door components. Completes finishing with baking, polishing, or other materials. Set up and maintain the production line for door spraying. Performs general manual labor tasks. Assists a variety of functions with manual labor tasks as needed. Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Works under immediate supervision.Responsibilities:Adaptability in a fast-paced environment with attention to detailAssists in any phase of Production Shop operationPreparing doors for spraying stageClean door of dust before staining primerBe capable of reading and understanding technical documents such as paint mixing procedures, and maintaining sprayer equipment as requiredApplies paint, varnishes, and stains to interior and/or exterior door surfacesStain and wipe doors of excessPlace doors into oven to dryFinish doors by spraying clear coatMaintain a safe and clean work environmentHousekeeping duties including all forms of warehouse cleanupAbility to service and perform regular PM (Preventative Maintenance) on the paint guns and paint booth. This includes changing parts on the spray guns and replacing air filters in the spray booth etc. General knowledge of paint equipment such as paint guns and paint applicationsProduce quality workAbility to efficiently use air/hand tools to paint product, ability to read/understand humidity chartOperate pneumatic paint tools and accessoriesAbility to work independently and effectively in a team environmentPrevious warehouse/manufacturing experienceAbility to stand and work for 8–10 hours per dayWillingness to work overtime when neededAbility to organize and maintain detailed recordsAbility to work well in a fast-paced environment and have the ability to multi-taskRead tape measure to 1/32" inchAbility to lift to 50+lbs.Ability to speak, read, and write English with proficiency.Regular attendance and timeliness is an essential function of the job in order to avoid disruptions in production and customer service.Follow all operational and safety SOP's as writtenQualifications:High School diploma or equivalent required1-2 Years in the field or related area.Pay: The hourly pay rate range for this position is $20.00 + benefits.
