Human Resources Generalist - Payroll/Recruitment (Full Time)

HR Generalist

The ideal candidate must be adaptable, hands-on, and comfortable working in a dynamic environment supporting both office and operational employees. This role requires an employee-centric mindset with a strong commitment to providing excellent customer service to employees at all levels of the organization. The HR Generalist will serve as a trusted resource for employees by answering questions related to payroll, company policies, benefits, onboarding, and general HR matters while helping employees navigate issues and concerns in a professional and supportive manner.

The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for supporting day-to-day HR operations, including recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, and compliance with employment laws and company policies. Recruiting is a critical function of this role, and the ideal candidate must be comfortable managing the full-cycle hiring process in a growing organization.

Manage full-cycle recruiting efforts including job postings, resume screening, interviewing, scheduling, and onboarding of new hires

Partner with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and develop effective recruiting strategies for technicians and mechanics.

Serve as a primary HR contact for employee questions regarding payroll, benefits, policies, and HR procedures

Coordinate and conduct new hire orientation and onboarding activities

Maintain and update job descriptions and recruitment advertisements

Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation within ADP and other HR systems

Assist with payroll-related changes and employee data updates in ADP

Support employee relations matters and maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies

Assist with employee communications, and HR initiatives

Perform additional HR administrative duties as assigned

Utilize strong interpersonal and customer service skills to build positive employee relationships across all levels of the organization

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred

Minimum of 2 years of Human Resources experience required

Experience with recruiting, onboarding, and employee support required

Experience supporting operations, manufacturing, transportation, industrial, or service-based environments preferred
