Underwriter Position Full Time Insurance

Quote, underwrite, service and process business as per the MS Amlin Underwriting policies and guidelines.
Analyse the current market and target potential new clients, brokers and products, whilst maintaining and building relationships with existing clients and brokers.
Peer Review a broad cross section of risks, quotes and endorsements within an assigned portfolio regionally.
Assist in the production of Board papers on a quarterly basis for the LatAm Unit.
Assist with management, development and strengthening of all members of the LatAm Team in collaboration with the Lead Underwriters.
University Degree in insurance, business or related field preferred.
Experience as Reinsurance Underwriter in both proportional and non-proportional business.
Must have hands on portfolio control experience including the design and implementation of technical rating and aggregation systems as well as full RDS experience.
Working knowledge of at least one foreign language is beneficial.
Proficient with the Microsoft Suite of applications with advanced skills in Excel.
Must be willing to travel and work extended hours where appropriate.

MS Reinsurance is the market-facing brand of the risk carrying legal entity MS Amlin AG, a global reinsurer domiciled in Switzerland and operating in Bermuda as MS Amlin AG, Bermuda Branch, in the United States through MS Amlin Reinsurance Managers, Inc, and in Labuan, Malaysia as MS Amlin AG, Labuan Branch.
