Line Cook/Prep Cook (Weekend Shift)

B Cup Cafe & Eatery is a neighborhood breakfast and brunch café and restaurant in New York City's East Village, serving the community for over 20 years. We are currently seeking an experienced Line Cook / Prep Cook for a full-time position.
Specifications
- Prior professional NYC kitchen experience is required. This position includes a combination of line cooking, food preparation, order fulfillment, catering preparation, restocking, and general kitchen responsibilities .
- 40 to 50 hours per week, 8 to 10 hour shifts . Weekend availability is required.
Schedule & Availability
Our operating hours are 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM .
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to B Cup recipes, portions, and presentation standards
- Prepare and fulfill dine-in, pickup, delivery, and large catering orders accurately and on time
- Follow proper food handling, storage, labeling, sanitation, and food safety procedures
- Maintain a clean, organized, and properly stocked kitchen and prep area
- Monitor ingredients and communicate restocking or prep needs to the team
- Complete assigned opening, closing, restocking, and general cleaning duties
Qualifications
- At least 2 yearr of professional NYC kitchen experience required
- NYC Food Protection Certificate preferred
- Ability to follow recipes, portioning standards, and instructions consistently
- Organized and able to work quickly while maintaining quality and accuracy
- Reliable, punctual, proactive, and team-oriented
- Comfortable with a physically demanding workload and remaining active throughout the shift
- Fluent in English; Spanish is a plus
