HR Generalist - Recruiting & Employee Engagement

At Allen & Allen, we're not just a law firm; Allen & Allen is seeking a Human Resources Generalist. The HR Generalist is responsible for supporting a wide range of human resources functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, performance management, policy implementation, and compliance. This role serves as a key resource for employees and management, ensuring HR practices align with organizational goals and all applicable employment laws and regulations.

Manage the full-cycle recruitment process, including job postings, candidate screening, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding.

Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and HR documentation.

Communicate and assist with the implementation of HR policies and procedures.

Coordinate new hire orientation and onboarding programs.

Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.

Support payroll by maintaining accurate employee data and records.

Prepare HR reports and analyze workforce metrics to support business decisions.

Participate in HR projects and initiatives that enhance employee engagement and organizational effectiveness.

Requirements Required Skills, Education, and Training: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

5+ years of Human Resources experience.

Working knowledge of employment laws, HR best practices, and compliance requirements.

Experience with a Human Resources Information System (HRIS); Strong written, editing, and proofreading skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

Professional HR certification (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR) is preferred.

Experience working in a law firm environment is a plus.

Physical and Environmental Requirements: General office environment requiring sitting for long periods of time.

The ability to work in an office environment around others.

The ability to exhibit manual dexterity and use standard office equipment such as phones, keyboards, and copiers for extended periods of time.

Visual capability to work viewing a computer monitor for several hours of the day.

Ability to legally operate a motor vehicle to travel to other work sites as needed.
