Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30) | 13 or 26 week contracts available
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care in Labor and Delivery, including labor, preterm labor, and triage across 8 labor rooms and 4 triage rooms
Perform circulating, scrub, Pre-Op, Post-Op, and OB-GYN surgical support roles as assigned
Administer and monitor specialized medications and therapies including Heparin, Insulin, Magnesium Sulfate, Blood/Blood Products, and manage Epidural, PCA, and Syringe Pumps
Attend all deliveries, including high-risk deliveries, and support Couplet Care, Low Risk Antepartum, and Transition Nursery as needed
Maintain staffing ratios of 1:1–3 and float to Post-Partum and potentially a sister Labor and Delivery unit as required
Utilize Epic electronic health record system for all documentation and patient management
Required Qualifications
Active RN license; compact license must be in hand at time of submission
Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience
Proficiency with Epic EHR required
Required Certifications: BLS, FHM, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate
Must commit to working 3 of the 5 designated holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day); up to 2 major holidays may be requested off upfront
Must live within 50 miles of the facility to be considered a local candidate; locals are accepted
Preferred Experience / Skills
ACLS certification preferred
Experience with high-risk obstetric patients and GYN surgical procedures
Familiarity with specialized equipment including Wound Vac, Cooling/Warming Blankets, and Cardioversion/Defibrillation
