Head of Quality Control Labs

This position is for a Quality Control Supervisor in a cement lab and requires previous cement industry experience and ACI certifications.
The Quality Control Supervisor reports to the Quality Control Manager and carries out duties related to chemical and instrument analysis, including physical testing.

Reviews QC data daily and reports discrepancies to the manager in a timely manner
Responsible for the maintenance and calibration of all QC-related analytical equipment
Generates and tracks equipment repair requests and purchases departmental supplies
Reviews and approves departmental payroll; Assists department manager with the performance of stockpile measurements/inventory control
Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field
Accurate and timely with data analysis and reports
Good use of Microsoft Office tools, i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
Ability to quickly learn and master proprietary software associated with analytical equipment
Strong troubleshooting skills to determine and rectify mechanical and electrical problems
must be able to walk long distances, climb ladders, stairs, and stockpiles, stoop, and crawl under and into enclosed spaces
Must be able to use proper Personal Protective Equipment as required
Exposure to cement, clay, limestone and various lab chemicals; Experience with a large ERP system, SAP a plus

Some positions require FMCSA regulated on-going drug and alcohol testing.
