Registered Nurse - Med Surg (Oncology focus)

Setting: hospital-based medical-surgical unit with oncology diagnoses on the 3rd floor tower

Weekly pay: $1,647–$1,787 per week

• Contract duration: Travel assignment (weeks)
• Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts
• Adult medical-surgical unit with oncology focus; telemetry-enabled

Provide direct nursing care for adult patients on a medical-surgical unit with oncology diagnoses; perform assessments, monitor patient status, and develop/adjust plans of care.

• Administer prescribed medications and therapies; adjust care as ordered; document responses in the charting system.
• Manage IV access and telemetry monitoring; deliver oxygen therapy as needed; assist with non-invasive airway support and basic respiratory needs.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team (PT, respiratory, pharmacy, social work, rapid response, unit secretary) to coordinate care plans, rounds, and discharge planning.
• Implement infection control practices and isolation precautions; maintain patient safety and comfort during care.
• Document thoroughly in the electronic medical record (EPIC); Active RN license; Oncology certification (OCN) preferred
• Minimum 1 year RN experience; oncology experience required
• Med-Surg experience on Oncology-focused units; Telemetry monitoring familiarity; ability to work in a fast-paced adult med-surg setting; EPIC charting experience
• ability to cover 5:1 patient ratios during shifts

Pre-start modules required (average ~16 hours) and recorded in Workramp

- All requested time off must be included in submittal (RTO policy)
