Buyer II - Electronic Components
Employment Type: Contract (6+ months, extension based on performance)
Schedule: Monday-Friday, standard business hours
We are seeking a Buyer II - Electronic Components to support sourcing and procurement for aerospace production and development programs. This role is responsible for managing the end-to-end procurement lifecycle , ensuring cost, quality, and delivery targets are achieved to support mission-critical programs.
You will work cross-functionally with Engineering, Manufacturing, Program Management, and Quality teams while building strong supplier partnerships and ensuring supply continuity of EEE components (electrical, electronic, and electromechanical parts) .
Manage supplier and distributor relationships for electronic components and EEE parts
Develop and issue RFQs/RFPs , perform cost/price analysis, and drive sourcing strategies
Own procurement lifecycle from requisition to delivery, invoice resolution, and payment
Monitor lead times, allocation risks, and lifecycle status (EOL/obsolescence)
Ensure supplier performance meets quality, technical, delivery, and cost expectations
Support supplier performance management and continuous improvement efforts
Analyze procurement data to inform decision-making and reporting
Maintain compliance with company policies, contractual obligations, and regulatory requirements
Experience sourcing electronic components , including semiconductors, connectors, passives, PCBs, or EEE parts
Knowledge of procurement processes and supplier management best practices
Familiarity with component lifecycle management and supply chain risk mitigation
Working knowledge of AS9100 quality standards
Experience in full-cycle sourcing and contract negotiation
Knowledge of counterfeit mitigation practices and authorized distribution channels
