Field Service Engineering

Location: REMOTE
Travel Requirement: Salary Range: $38.00 - $44.00 per hour

As a Field Service Engineer , you will be the face of IWK at customer sites, delivering expert service, installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of our advanced packaging equipment. Your work ensures optimal equipment performance, minimal downtime, and high customer satisfaction.

Install, start up, maintain, and repair IWK equipment on-site, with full documentation.
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control system issues; provide detailed service reports and corrective actions.
Optimize equipment performance through fine-tuning and process adjustments.
Collaborate with engineering teams to share field data and drive product improvements.
Serve as the primary technical representative, maintaining professional communication and customer relationships.
Investigate complaints, identify root causes, and recommend solutions.
Train customers on equipment operation, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Associate’s degree in Electro-Mechanical Technology, Mechatronics, Factory Automation, or related field preferred.
Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in mechanical/electrical environments, ideally with automated or packaging equipment.
Military veterans with equivalent technical training and field experience are strongly encouraged to apply.

Proven expertise in servicing automated equipment (mechanical, electrical, controls).
Experience with Schneider Electric control systems and function block programming is highly desirable.
Basic understanding of PLC logic and HMI interfaces.
Ability to read electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and pneumatic diagrams.
Familiarity with remote troubleshooting tools (e.g., Strong English communication skills (written and verbal).
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Comfortable working remotely via VPN, intranet, and cloud-based tools.
Excellent interpersonal skills and customer-focused mindset.
Travel Requirements
Valid passport and driver’s license required.
Willing and able to travel up to 80%, including international assignments.
