This isn’t just a job, it’s a chance to lead innovation, engineer impact, and build a legacy of excellence.In the role of Estimator I, we'll count on you to: Develop, evaluate, compile, and present scope and cost data for construction and project estimatesWork on estimates that may be order of magnitude for planning purposes, preliminary for evaluation/study purposes, or definitive for proposal or proposal comparison purposesDemonstrate understanding and ability to interrupt construction plans and specifications with respect to preparing cost estimatesTake responsibility for completeness and accuracy of estimates within defined parametersWork on estimates that may reflect any part or total project, or changes to the projectCoordinate with design and construction staff to obtain estimate scope and schedule data upon which to base estimatesPerform other duties as needed Preferred QualificationsPrevious field experienceKnowledge and understanding of MEP systemsPreferred Project experience to include: Data Center, Chip Manufacturing, Industrial, Healthcare or Lab ScienceExperience with Sage, Timberline, Bluebeam, Revit, HCSS, Excel, Navisworks or SynchroCertifications (one or more): AEP, CCT, CEP, CACM, CMIT, PSP, EVP, PMI-SP, EITAbility to interpret construction schedules#LI-CA1QualificationsRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or Construction Science Engineering or equivalent experienceFundamental knowledge of General Contracting, EPC construction methods, processes, and procedures, in addition to general construction industry methods, terminology, working practices and organizational structureFamiliar with Microsoft Office, cost estimating and project control softwareGood verbal and written communication skillsAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a mustSponsorship (visa) for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this positionWhat We BelieveHDR is our company.
