Healthcare Operations Manager

Unity is seeking an experienced Healthcare Operations Manager to lead labor management, workforce planning, frontline leadership development, and operational excellence across our nursing service lines. This is an exciting opportunity for a strategic, data-driven leader who is passionate about building high-performing teams while ensuring exceptional patient care.

Working closely with nursing, finance, quality, education, and recruitment leaders, you will help optimize staffing, improve operational performance, and support organizational goals through thoughtful leadership and continuous improvement.

Collaborate with interdisciplinary leaders to strengthen quality, compliance, financial stewardship, and patient care outcomes.

Use data and strategic insight to influence organizational decisions and improve operational performance.

Full-time, hybrid work environment

Monday through Friday with a flexible first-shift schedule, typically between 7:00 a.m. Shared participation in the Administrator On-Call rotation

1-2 holidays per year

Labor & Workforce Management

Analyze workforce metrics including FTEs, visits per FTE, overtime, paid time off, and non-productive hours.

Monitor labor budgets, identify trends and variances, and provide recommendations to the Nursing Operations Director.

Ensure payroll accuracy through timecard audits and exception reviews.

Collaborate with Finance, Recruitment, and nursing leadership on workforce planning, staffing models, territory alignment, and FTE recommendations.

Ensure compliance with labor standards, contracts, and regulatory requirements.

Develop labor dashboards and performance reports that support informed operational decisions.

Lead, coach, and develop Nurse and CNA Supervisors through regular one-on-one meetings, performance evaluations, and ongoing feedback.

Promote consistent execution of policies, workflows, productivity standards, and accountability expectations.

Conduct annual EMPOWER performance meetings with direct reports and support supervisors in completing their own team evaluations.

Manage employee performance, coaching, and progressive discipline in partnership with Human Resources and the Nursing Operations Director.

Participate in the Administrator On-Call rotation.

Operational Excellence & Compliance

Collaborate with Quality and Education leaders to maintain compliance with regulatory and quality standards.

Review operational, quality, and compliance data to identify opportunities for improvement.

Lead corrective action planning and continuous improvement initiatives.

Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field. (Minimum three years of healthcare or business operations experience.

Minimum three years of leadership experience, including coaching, project management, and operational execution.

Strong understanding of healthcare operations, workforce planning, and labor management.

Experience interpreting financial and operational data to drive decision-making.

Knowledge of productivity metrics, labor analytics, and performance management systems.

Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office, electronic medical records, automated scheduling systems, and Outlook.

Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Commitment to maintaining current knowledge of healthcare regulations, evidence-based practices, and organizational policies.
