This is an exciting 13-week contract opportunity for a dedicated Registered Nurse in Rochester, New York. The successful candidate will provide high-quality, patient-centered care within a dynamic acute care hospital environment, contributing to a multidisciplinary team focused on optimal patient outcomes.
The role involves comprehensive patient assessment, development and implementation of individualized care plans, medication administration, and continuous monitoring of patient conditions. You will serve a diverse adult patient population, ensuring adherence to established protocols and safety standards while maintaining clear communication with patients, families, and healthcare providers.

Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including physical, psychosocial, and health history.
Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
Perform various nursing procedures, treatments, and interventions as prescribed.
Document all patient care activities, observations, and responses to treatment accurately and timely in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatment plans, and self-care techniques.
Collaborate effectively with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
Respond to medical emergencies and initiate appropriate interventions.
Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
Minimum of 1-2 years of recent experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care setting.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
Previous travel nursing experience.
Experience with Epic EMR system.
Advanced assessment skills, medication administration, IV insertion and management, wound care, EKG interpretation, phlebotomy, basic life support.
Equipment Proficiency: Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner), vital sign monitors, IV pumps, patient lift equipment.
