LSU School of Dentistry Oral Surgery Department is currently seeking motivated applicants for the position of Dental Assistant 1 or 2 at our New Orleans location.
No experience or training required.
Assist dentists and dental students with chair side treatment of patients
Maintain and stock cabinet
Instruct and evaluate students in proper four-handed dentistry techniques
Chart patients according to LSU SD systems (Axium Computer knowledge)
Check inventory and order supplies when needed.
Knowledgeable of computers.
Focusing on Customers: The ability to serve the needs of those who support and/or rely on the services provided.
Following Policies and Procedures: The ability to comply with policies and procedures of the organization as well as State Civil Service rules, and all applicable federal and state laws.
Career Progression : This position is part of the career progression group May be filled as a Dental Assistant 1 or 2.
Work Schedul e: Monday - Friday; There is a Special Entrance Rate (SER) of $15.05 per hour for the Dental Assistant 2 title and $14.06 for the Dental Assistant 1 title with an additional $2.25 per hour worked available for candidates that hold a current DANB (Dental Assisting National Board) certification and or additional $1.50 for EDDA (Expanded Dental Duty Dental Assistant).
