Part-time Research Fellow

BioLegend is seeking a highly motivated Research Associate to join our team to develop reagents for immunological assays. This job will be involved in developing new products for magnetic cell separation and cell stimulation related applications. This person will have opportunities to independently drive research projects from conception to completion, requiring interaction with multi‑disciplinary teams. We are open to considering candidates at Research Associate I or II level.

Development and optimization of assays aimed at cell isolation and cell analysis, including cell separation, immunofluorescence staining and cell function.

Identify and implement new assay technologies that have an impact on assay throughput and/or performance

Independently analyze flow cytometry data using FlowJo and/or FCS Express

Analyze experimental data, prepare report and present it to supervisor and/or department for discussion

Maintain clear and accurate experimental records, and entry information in relevant databases as needed per company policy and ISO requirements

Maintain facilities, lab equipment, and supplies as needed

Take on other projects or responsibilities as required

BS Degree in a Life Sciences related area

1+ years of hands‑on experience working in a lab environment in academia or industry

6+ months of working experience with magnetic cell‑separation assays from primary cell sample

Experience using BD’s Canto II or similar flow cytometers is a plus

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in a laboratory environment with occasional data entry on a computer. Hourly Pay

The hourly pay for this position will vary by level, as we are open to considering candidates at Research Associate I or II, depending on experience and qualifications. The anticipated hourly range for a Research Associate I is $23.00 – $30.75 per hour. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for a new hire in this position. The base pay actually offered to the successful candidate will take into account internal equity, work location, and additional factors, including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. The base pay range does not include bonuses, equity, or other benefits which may be applicable and are dependent on the level and position offered.
