Attorney At Law (Remote)

Are you an experienced family law attorney with solid litigation skills, enjoy supporting clients through challenging life transitions and helping them create better futures? Our law firm, specializing solely in divorce and family law, currently seeks an experienced full-time family law attorney. This position is remote, offering flexibility and independence, but it requires a high level of discipline and reliability. Except for court appearances, all tasks will be conducted entirely remotely. You should be comfortable working autonomously with minimal oversight in a work-from-home setting. A minimum of 3 years of experience in Virginia Family Law, particularly in litigation, is essential, as you will be representing clients in Fairfax, Loudoun, and Prince William County Courts (with occasional appearances in Arlington and Alexandria). The family law litigation attorney will oversee cases from start to finish with the assistance of support staff. Successful candidates will possess strong research, drafting, negotiation, and trial advocacy skills. While managing cases is the primary duty, the ideal candidate should bring more than just legal expertise. Associates receive origination bonuses for cases they bring in. Additional quarterly bonuses are on offer based on performance. Responsibilities: • Conduct client meetings through phone and video conferences • Draft various marital agreements such as property settlement agreements, prenups, postnups, and co-parenting plans • Manage cases from initiation to trial & final resolution with support staff assistance • Set case strategy • Attend hearings and argue motions in • Simultaneously handle cases in multiple Northern Virginia courts, including Fairfax, Loudoun, Arlington, Alexandria, and Prince William • Multitask effectively and meet multiple deadlines • Monitor and track case progress • Adhere to firm's file organization and other policies Qualifications: • Experience handling a wide range of family law matters such as divorce, custody, spousal support, visitation, child support, and enforcement • Experience arguing motions • Strong trial advocacy, research, and drafting skills • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Minimum of 3 years of Virginia family law experience is required • Minimum of 3 years of family law litigation experience • Proficient in using computers and web-based applications • Excellent negotiation skills Compensation: $150,000 - $190,000 yearly
