Job Details We are seeking a motivated Associate Attorney with at least one year of civil litigation experience to join our growing litigation practice in Charlotte. This is an opportunity for an attorney who wants to take an active role in their cases, strengthen their courtroom and advocacy skills, and continue developing as a well-rounded litigator. You will work closely with experienced attorneys and clients while taking on increasing responsibility throughout the litigation process. Commercial Litigation Product Liability Premises Liability Motor Vehicle Negligence Personal Injury Defense Construction Defect & Construction Litigation Professional Liability Insurance Coverage & Bad Faith Litigation Regulatory & Administrative Matters What You'll Do Manage assigned litigation matters with increasing levels of responsibility. Conduct legal research and analyze legal issues, claims, defenses, and case strategy. Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery responses, correspondence, and other legal documents. Work with partners, senior attorneys, clients, experts, opposing counsel, and other professionals to develop facts and advance cases. Evaluate legal and factual issues and help develop practical litigation strategies. Manage multiple matters and deadlines while maintaining high-quality work product. D. from an accredited law school. Active license to practice law in North Carolina. 1 year of civil litigation experience. Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and organizational skills. Experience drafting pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, or other litigation documents. Exposure to depositions, hearings, trial preparation, or other aspects of civil litigation. Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with attorneys and staff. Experience in insurance defense, commercial litigation, professional liability, construction litigation, personal injury defense, product liability, premises liability, or a related civil litigation practice is welcome, but candidates with broader civil litigation backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
