HR Generalist/Employee Relations/Payroll

We are seeking a hands-on and motivated HR Generalist to support the day-to-day human resources operations of our U.This role will cover a broad range of HR functions, including employee relations, HR operations, policy implementation, benefits administration, and recruitment.
This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional who is looking to grow into a broader HR leadership role over time. HR Operations & Employee Lifecycle Management
Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data (e.g., Support payroll coordination and ensure data accuracy in partnership with external providers
Employee Relations
Serve as a primary point of contact for employee inquiries and day-to-day HR matters
Support handling of employee relations issues, including performance concerns, investigations, and terminations, with guidance from management when needed
Policy Implementation & Compliance
Assist in implementing and maintaining HR policies, procedures, and employee handbook
Ensure compliance with federal, state (especially California), and local employment laws
Administer employee benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), HSA/FSA, etc.
Assist with compensation review and bonus administration processes
Talent Acquisition
Support full-cycle recruitment activities, including job postings, resume screening, interview coordination, and offer preparation
Partner with hiring managers and external recruiters to ensure timely hiring
Help deliver a positive candidate experience
Work closely with internal stakeholders across HR, Finance, and Operations
Support coordination with global headquarters on HR-related matters when applicable
Assist in localizing global policies and practices for U.Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
4-7 years of HR experience, preferably in biotech, life sciences, or a growing organization
Hands‑on experience in HR operations, employee relations, and benefits administration
Experience with HRIS systems (ADP TotalSource preferred)
HR certification (e.g., A hands‑on, execution‑oriented HR professional who is willing to roll up their sleeves
A team player who is eager to learn, take initiative, and grow into a broader HR role over time
