Full Time Draftsperson

Draftsperson/ Draft Manager

Manage engineering phase of projects from executed contracts through issuance of the fabrication paperwork in adherence with project schedules.
Develop shop drawing, technical data and material submittals for client approval in accordance with contract scope.
Manage outside engineering consultants in the development of submittals and/or engineered calculations.
Perform material research as required.
Following approved shop drawings, develop 2D CAD fabrication drawings.
Develop Preliminary Material Orders (PMO) if required, Final Material Orders (FMO), and other essential documents in accordance with the contract scope.
Maintain project documents, data and files.
Two year degree in Engineering or Technical field or equivalent work experience
Excellent 2D CAD computer skills
Ability to read and understand architectural contract drawings and specifications.
Basic understanding of field construction practices.
Experience with and working knowledge of Windows Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Familiarity with Autodesk Inventor (a plus but not required).
Familiarity with air/water/structural testing of glazing or wall systems.
