Engineering Procurement Buyer (Remote)

Virtual Vocations Inc

To support the Allied Logistics Engineering Capabilities Sustainment (ALECS) program, the full-time remote Purchasing Agent will provide accounting and administrative support, assist in procurement duties, and manage supplier relationships while ensuring compliance with regulations.

Key responsibilities

Assist senior staff with functional procurement duties and daily purchasing operations

Procure complex supplies and services by evaluating bids, recommending suppliers, and negotiating terms

Engage with vendors, conduct market research, and track contract awards through order completion

Required qualifications

Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of procurement experience, or an Associate's degree with 7+ years of relevant experience, or 10+ years of professional experience in lieu of a degree

Demonstrated experience in purchasing complex supplies/services and negotiating contract terms

Working knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and compliance standards

Experience resolving supplier claims and managing order modifications

Proficiency in MS Office Suite and Google Workspace
