Human Resources Generalist, Payroll and Recruitment

Buckeye Power Sales is a Growth-Oriented Company Seeking an HR Coordinator to join our Human Resources team!

Buckeye Power Sales has been providing on site power solutions for businesses, contractors, engineers, municipalities and homeowners since 1947, which makes us the oldest Rehlko (formerly Kohle r) generator distributor in the country. We are also a distributor of Siemens Energy engines and generators for a wide range of power generation applications such as combined heat and power, waste to power, prime, and continuous. From power generation to light construction to grounds care - we have the machines, equipment, parts, programs & service to help you get the job done.

Our HR Coordinator is responsible for:

Maintaining accurate employee personnel records and organize HR-related documentation. Assist with monthly invoice reconciliation and allocation processes. Assisting with the preparation and completion of certified payroll reports for applicable state and federal projects. Coordinating and facilitating annual Drug-Free Workplace Safety Training for employees required to complete the training. Maintain training records and documentation to support compliance requirements.

Supporting recruitment activities by posting job openings, coordinating phone screenings, and assisting with candidate communication.

Coordinating pre-employment checks, as needed, and preparing required new hire documentation. Serving as a point of contact for employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and procedures.

Entering, updating, and maintaining accurate employee information in the HRIS. Generate reports and assist with HR analytics and data-related initiatives. Support the HR department in maintaining data integrity and utilizing HRIS functionality effectively.

Assisting with payroll processing activities, including data entry, verification, and reconciliation. Maintaining a working knowledge of company policies, procedures, values, and culture. Develop an understanding of organizational goals and how HR supports the overall success of the company.

Traveling occasionally to company locations, recruiting events, or other business functions as needed.

18+ years old

Associates in HR related field preferred

1-3 years of HR experience preferred

Proficiency with, or the ability to quickly learn, the organization’s HRIS and talent management systems.

Strong verbal and written communication skills, with proficiency in English.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Publisher, as well as HRIS databases and data entry.

Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to company locations and recruiting events as needed.
