Key Responsibilities
Perform direct patient care activities for all age groups including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation across outpatient to critical care inpatient settings.
Assist with vascular surgeons in the OR and Hybrid Imaging suite; support endovascular and open cases alongside a team of nurses and surgical technicians.
Function as both scrub and OR circulator, utilizing the nursing process to provide safe and effective patient care.
Monitor and coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient outcomes and comfort.
Maintain patient rights, confidentiality, and professional accountability in accordance with applicable nursing practice standards.
Fulfill call requirements and weekend hours as required by the facility; average call is approximately 5 or fewer occurrences per 8-week period.
Required Qualifications
Current RN license; must meet eligibility criteria for licensure in the state of Missouri or hold an active Missouri RN license.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) only.
Minimum 2 years of Level 1 or Level 2 Trauma experience (teaching hospital experience will be considered).
Demonstrated experience as both a scrub technician and OR circulator.
Minimum 1 year of Interventional Vascular experience with demonstrated competency in conscious sedation.
Flu vaccination or approved exemption required from November 1 through April 1; declinations are not accepted.
Preferred Experience / Skills
Level 1 Trauma experience with multiple years of progressive OR experience.
Familiarity with robotic surgical systems, including the da Vinci Surgical System.
Experience with EPIC electronic medical records (EMR).
