Sonographer - health hospital

Responsible for providing quality diagnostic ultrasound procedures and the care needed to ensure patient comfort and safety.

Independently perform ultrasound examinations exercising judgment to recognize and record pathologists and abnormalities necessary to provide a diagnosis.

Review patient's medical records and clinical information to evaluates patient’s condition and to determine the diagnostic information the physician is seeking.

Summarize and document findings for radiologists and communicate with referring physicians, radiologists, nursing staff and other departments about the examination.

Assist specialty physicians in performing invasive procedures (e.g., amniocentesis and biopsies) by providing ultrasound guidance for needle entrance.

A graduate from an accredited Ultrasound program required. RVT required (Certified Ultrasonographer position only).
