Senior HR Generalist - Remote

The Departments of Administration and Fish, Wildlife and Parks seek a Senior Human Resource Generalist to provide leadership and support to a robust Human Resources program. This position reports to the Human Resources Operations Supervisor and serves on a dynamic and talented team of HR professionals.

The Senior Human Resource Generalist position supports management and employees in conducting their work to deliver programs by providing traditional human resource services. These services include recruiting, hiring and orientation, compensation, negotiating and administering labor contracts, training, promoting employee safety, conducting workforce analysis and data reporting, performance management, resolving complaints and grievances, and establishing and enforcing policies and practices in the workplace that contribute to employee and department welfare and reflect state and federal employment regulations. The Senior Generalist will also provide leadership and guidance to HR investigations and agency corrective action coordination, including policy development, revisions, implementation, official correspondence, and manager training.

In this position you, will be afforded the opportunity to telework, however, there will be required weekly in-office days in Helena. Specific conditions will be provided by the supervisor and must adhere to state policy.

Minimum Qualifications (Education and Experience): The knowledge, skills, and abilities for this position are typically acquired through a bachelor's degree in human resources, personnel management, public administration, business, communication, or a closely related field, along with three years of related job experience. Preference will be given to candidates with 3-5 years of professional human resources experience and 2-4 years of lead HR investigator experience.
