Senior Electrical Engineer

Eaton's ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer. The expected annual salary range for this role is $86000 - $126000 a year. This high impact role is responsible for sustaining engineering support for the control systems and electronics used with Eaton's medium voltage switchgear product line - reclosers, fault interrupters, and switches. The Senior Electrical Engineer identifies creative solutions, performs engineering analysis, creates designs, oversees verification, and contributes to the implementation of product cost savings, product improvements, and engineering process improvement projects.

• Support new product introductions and engineering changes for existing products.
• Resolve production, manufacturing, and testing issues in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Partner with suppliers and Supplier Quality Engineers to evaluate capabilities, conduct assessments, and approve components.
• Investigate product quality and reliability issues; document findings and support customer communications.
• Drive continuous improvement using Lean, Design for Six Sigma, DFM, and DFA methodologies.
• Perform engineering analyses and simulations using CAD, FEA, and other engineering tools.
• Ensure compliance with applicable industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Proactively identify opportunities to improve products, processes, and overall performance.

Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering from an accredited institution. Minimum two (2) years of engineering experience. No relocation is offered for this position. Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position. Preferred Qualifications: Minimum two (2) years of design experience with PCBA design and electrical circuits. Experience with engineering analysis and digital simulation (CAD, FEA, statistical analysis, software applications, electrical analysis tools, etc…,). High voltage design experience and power system analysis experience. Excellent computer and data analysis skills including Microsoft Office suite. Problem solving experience using Root Cause Analysis techniques. Strong analytical aptitude to troubleshoot Analog & Digital designs at the component level. Project leadership skills. Knowledge of Green belt training.
