Bar Server for Virgin Voyages

ISMIRA Agency actively recruiting for position Bar Server for Virgin Voyages!

Work on board brand new company vessels Scarlet Lady, Valiant Lady, Resilient Lady (ship #4 will happen later on!)

Contract length - 4-6 months for most positions, for entry positions - 7 months

Free food, accommodation, coffee + soft drinks and also wifi (though limited speed) for crew

STCW certification, joining tickets, pre-employment medical examination (PEME), necessary visas, joining expenses, such as transfers, hotel accommodations, subsistence

Provide an epic experience for our guests at all times

Maintains a complete knowledge of all menu items, liquor brands, beers and non-alcoholic selections available in the assigned outlet

Maintains a complete knowledge of table/seat/station numbers, proper table set ups, room capacity, hours of operation, menus, price range and dress code of assigned outlet

Competently and with style open and serve wine/champagne bottles

Interact with Sailors and provide beverage information, promoting drinks and/or upselling premium brands. Ensure that all bar products, equipment and cleaning materials are used in a cost-effective manner

Notifies Bar Supervisor of any complaints raised and seeks to resolve

Ensures compliance with the Company alcohol policy and notifies Bar Supervisor when Sailors/Crew are in danger of breaching

We want you to bring it to our hang out spot and help make the place even better. Minimum 2 years' recent experience as Bar Server (Bar Waiter/ess) onboard a Premium Class Cruise Ship or 4-5 Star Hotel/Resort.

Passionate about people and able to handle complaints with a smile and full attention!

Knowledge of various drink recipes and beverage service standards.
