To care for adult and pediatric patients experiencing medical emergencies.
General Emergency Department skillset, including cardiac rhythm interpretation, experience with critical care drips, PIV starts, TNK/TPA administration, and conscious sedation.

This position is for an Emergency Department Registered Nurse.
The unit consists of 34 beds with 32 vertical care areas.
It is a very busy, fast-paced, acute care environment.
There is also a significant mental health, homeless, drug, and alcohol-addicted population.
Common diagnoses include stroke, respiratory illness, chest pain, abdominal pain, and diabetes-related issues.
The typical patient ratios are RN to patient at 1:4, LPN to patient at 1:4, and CNA to patient at 1:20.
Support within the department includes CNAs, receptionists, and charge nurses.
Technology used includes electronic medical records.
There is a requirement to float to other facilities within the region as needed, within the scope of practice.
Travelers will be paid for time spent traveling between facilities if floating mid-shift.
Weekend rotations are expected every other weekend.
Travelers will be required to work 75% of holidays.
Requests for time off can be approved up to 6 days, excluding holidays, with time added to the end of the contract if contracted hours cannot be met.
Shift times will vary based on requisition.
