As a welder, you will be an integral part of the manufacturing department, supporting the production of high-quality products. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail, safety consciousness, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully within the organization.Job Title: WelderLocation: Brooklyn Park, MNPay Range: Up to $37.90/hourShift: Monday - Friday; 2:00PM - 10:00PMWhat's the Job?Safely layout, fit-up, and weld quality products following company policies and proceduresRead and interpret fabrication blueprints and engineering drawings accuratelyMIG Welding (GMAW Pulse)Utilizing cutting torches and/or carbon arc (gouging)Operate overhead cranes, jib cranes, and hoists to move materials and equipmentUtilize hand tools such as grinders, chisels, and tip cleaners for fabrication tasksPerform visual and x-ray weld assessments to meet AWS certification standardsWhat's Needed?Welding experience or completion of a certified trade school/technical degree in weldingAbility to read fabrication blueprints and engineering drawingsPass a weld assessment following AWS standards and complete COPA prior to assessmentAbility to work at multiple heights and in various positions, including kneeling, squatting, and reachingWork in an environment with exposure to welding fumes, noise, and changing temperaturesWhat's in it for me?Opportunity for up to 12-18 months of employment on a stable assignment with a renewal in place - pay increase would occur thenSupport from a local agency with onsite assistance as neededWork in a safety-focused environment with comprehensive personal protective equipmentEngage in meaningful work supporting manufacturing excellencePotential for career growth within a reputable organization
