Clinic Registered Nurse (RN) Evening

Community Options, Inc. is a national non-profit agency providing services to individuals with disabilities in 12 states.

We are actively seeking a Registered Nurse in Lubbock, TX to deliver care to individuals with disabilities in a community setting, utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation. The Registered Nurse delivers care to individuals with disabilities in a community setting utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation. This person will interact with individuals, significant others, and health team members while maintaining the standards of professional nursing.

We are offering a $8,000 SIGN-ON BONUS! (Provide treatment and health care procedures ordered by a physician and required by the standards of professional practice or law

Ensure individuals attend medical appointments per their Individual Support Plan (ISP)

Advise supervisor of all concerns and issues related to the provision of nursing services

Create and distribute medical/health reports detailing general health, health care goals, and physician recommendations

Train employees on the medical needs of assigned individuals

Monitor health and medical conditions of individuals and refer for medical services as needed

Ensure health service supplies are available and replenished as needed

Build a support network for individuals by developing and maintaining relationships with community members, businesses, and families

Participate with individuals in community, social, and recreational activities

Participate in circles of support for personal futures planning

Employees must cooperate with the licensee and department staff in any inspection, inquiry or investigation

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in nursing field

Minimum of one year of experience providing nursing services to individuals with disabilities

Complete all state and agency required training per state guidelines

Understanding and commitment to community-based support for persons with disabilities

Proficient with Microsoft Office

Ability to effectively communicate with program participants, third-party agencies, staff and members of the community

Work in office, residential programs, day programs, and community environments

Hours and weekly schedules may change due to business needs and may include evening and weekend hours

Occasional overtime may be required

May occasionally assist with wheelchair transfer of non-ambulatory individuals

May be required to transport individuals utilizing your own vehicle or company provided vehicles

May be exposed to various medical conditions, communicable diseases, blood, body fluids, or tissues
