Key Responsibilities
Utilize the nursing process to perform assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care for all age groups
Monitor and coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient outcomes and comfort
Maintain professional accountability for provision of care and evaluate the overall effectiveness of care delivered by other direct care givers
Coordinate patient care in conjunction with other departments while maintaining patient rights and confidentiality
Operate unit equipment including bladder scanner, vein finder, IV pumps, and wound vacs
Float as needed to a similar or lower acuity unit; work every other weekend as required by the facility
Required Qualifications
Current RN license — must meet eligibility criteria for licensure in the state of Missouri or currently hold a Missouri RN license
Minimum 1 year of inpatient Medical Surgical experience
BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) only
Proficiency with EPIC EMR
Flu vaccination (or facility-approved exemption) required November 1 through April 1; declinations are not accepted
Preferred Experience / Skills
ACLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) only
Experience with telemetry in a Medical Surgical setting
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented, fast-paced inpatient environment
