Systems AdministratorOur client is seeking a Systems Administrator to support a large-scale enterprise IT environment. This position will work across servers, identity management, cloud platforms, and core infrastructure.The Systems Administrator will help maintain reliable, secure, and high-performing infrastructure while supporting day-to-day operations, troubleshooting, upgrades, and technology projects. This role will collaborate with IT teams to resolve technical issues and improve infrastructure operations.Key responsibilities include administering and troubleshooting Windows Server and Linux environments, supporting Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and PKI services, assisting with virtualization, storage, backup, and disaster recovery technologies, supporting Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, and other cloud platforms, monitoring infrastructure performance, availability, and security, assisting with system upgrades, deployments, patching, and lifecycle management, maintaining technical documentation, procedures, and system configurations, working with internal IT teams and vendors on infrastructure and application initiatives, using PowerShell or similar scripting tools to automate tasks and improve processes, and providing technical troubleshooting and support across the IT organization.Qualifications include a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, experience supporting Windows Server and/or enterprise Linux environments, knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, or related infrastructure services, understanding of virtualization, cloud computing, networking, backup, and recovery concepts, strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills, and the ability to prioritize responsibilities and work effectively both independently and collaboratively.Additional details include 1+ year of experience in systems administration, IT infrastructure, or a related technical role preferred, Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 experience is a plus, PowerShell or other scripting/automation experience preferred, familiarity with ITIL, SOX compliance, or IT service management practices is beneficial, and experience in the energy industry is a plus.Perks include exposure to a wide range of enterprise infrastructure technologies, opportunities to work with cloud, automation, virtualization, and systems administration, a collaborative IT environment, and the opportunity to contribute to infrastructure projects and technology improvements.
