Job Description:

• Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30)
• Contract Length: 15 Weeks
• Required Experience: 2 Years in Emergency Department
• Weekend Coverage: Required Every Other Weekend

- Certifications Needed:

- ACLS

- BLS

- CPI

- PALS

- NIHSS

• OCN* (optional)
• TNCC* (optional)

Skills Required:

• Proficiency in General Emergency Department (Adult/Pedi)
• Strong background in Pediatric Emergency Department
• Capable of Management of Dysrhythmias
• Arterial Line & Central Line Management
• Blood Product Administration & Phlebotomy Expertise
• Expertise in Starting IVs and IV Vasopressors
• Competency in Procedural Sedation Administration
• Experience in Neuro-Trauma & Spinal Cord Injuries
• Triage and Isolation Precautions
• Interpretation of ABGs & Dysrhythmias
• Appropriately handle Gunshot Wounds, Traumatic Amputations, and Traumatic Brain Injuries

• Patient Age Groups: Neonates, Infants, Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics
• Daily Census: 180
• Patient Visits Per Day: 186
• Number of Beds: 35

Patient Care Expectations:

• Dynamic and fast-paced work environment
• Handle a variety of patient diagnoses
• Commitment to exceptional patient care

Submittal Requirements:

• Valid California License is required
• References are mandatory
• Required certifications must be submitted
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate

Assignment Expectations:

• Advanced EKG Exam Required
• 80% or higher to pass
• Onsite exam: 20 questions (17 rhythm strips, 3 general questions)
• Timed Exam: 45 minutes

- Modules Required Prior to Start:

• Clinical: Up to 8 hours
• Non-Clinical: Up to 2 hours
