HR/Recruiting Generalist

Human Resources Salary :The Human Resources Generalist provides support across various HR functions, primarily in Compensation, Employment, and PeopleSoft eFORM approvals. This position requires a high level of independent judgment in providing a wide range of HR support that includes classification and compensation administration, providing data, and oversight of employee offboarding.

Serves as final approver for all hire ePARs submitted, including staff, faculty, temporary employees, and student hires. Will deliver ePAR training to campus community as needed.

Partners with hiring managers to develop job descriptions. Manages benefits-eligible faculty and staff off-boarding and separation processes including but not limited to processing ePAR in the PeopleSoft system, initiating the separation process, collecting completed documents, personnel file breakdown, and distributing necessary documents to other HR functions. Responsible for participating in and completing salary surveys, interpreting salary data, and performing analysis.

Responds to data requests, including creating queries in PeopleSoft HRMS to extract employee and job data. Serves as final approver for HRIS access request forms. Assists with audits, employment verifications, personnel transactions, and HR reporting. Supports compliance related to employment eligibility, required documentation, and other HR processes as needed.

Participates in HR projects and cross-functional initiatives.

Manages content and updates to Compensation and Employment websites in coordination with HR Leadership, and other related duties as assigned.

Bachelor's Degreein Business, Human Resources, Management, or a related field.

Minimum of three years of Human Resources experience.

Experience in employment processes, Compensation, PeopleSoft, and working knowledge of effective off boarding in a university setting.

SHRM-CP, PHR, or other Human Resources-related certification.

Exemplifies the desired culture of the Human Resources Office, including the ability to work effectively as a team member with employees, management, and the Human Resources staff.

Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

Must have strong initiative and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Strong follow-through on commitments, using sound judgment with the ability to recognize and handle sensitive/confidential information.
