Maintenance Millwright/Welder

Ignite torches or start power supplies and strike arcs by touching electrodes to metals being welded.

• Clamp, hold, tack-weld, heat-bend, grind or bolt component parts to obtain required configurations and positions for welding
• Detect faulty operation of equipment or defective materials and notify supervisors
• Monitor the fitting, burning, and welding processes to avoid overheating of parts or warping, shrinking, distortion, or expansion of material.
• Recognize, set up, and operate hand and power tools common to the welding trade, such as shielded metal arc and gas metal arc welding equipment. Gas tungsten arc welding is a plus
• Read technical drawings in both 2D and 3D versions.
• o Must be able to use most hand tools and have well developed mechanical aptitude.

o Capable of rigging and handle cranes, forklifts and other lifting equipment
o Basic experience in maintenance environment to include troubleshooting, defining failure and corrective action plans during machine down situations
o Conduct Handheld Vibration analysis - past experience a plus
o PLC programming experience and knowledge (ie. o Willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions
o Must be able to climb ladders and maintain balance on catwalks and platforms.
o Make visual inspections with precise hand and finger movements, with reasoning and problem solving ability.o Must be flexible on work hours and shifts

Mechanical capability required

• Welding Schools / Training / Certifications
• Strong focus on housekeeping and shop cleanliness
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude with minimal supervision
• Travel will be required for training and periodic customer on-site

Work is approximately 90% indoors non-air conditioned 10% outdoors. o Maintain a professional and courteous manner during the performance of all duties with both internal employees and customers
o Promotes and furthers Andritz’s goals through the development of good customer relationships and recognized professionalism while at site
