Tri-Imaging is seeking an Imaging Service Engineer I (ISE I) to support the safe, accurate, and reliable operation of diagnostic imaging systems. Working under the direction and guidance of senior engineering personnel, this position performs preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, equipment inspections, calibrations, quality assurance support, and basic repairs.
The ISE I provides both on-site and remote technical support to hospitals and healthcare facilities within an assigned territory while developing technical expertise through hands-on experience, training, and mentorship from senior engineers
Customer Service & Communication

Respond promptly to service requests from clinical departments and customers to evaluate and resolve equipment issues.
Deliver exceptional customer service by communicating professionally throughout the service process and minimizing disruption to patient care.
Keep customers informed of equipment status, repair progress, and expected completion timelines.
Assist senior engineers with equipment in-service education and basic operator training.
Equipment Maintenance & Repair

Install, inspect, troubleshoot, repair, calibrate, and perform preventive maintenance on diagnostic imaging systems under established procedures.
Perform planned maintenance, electrical safety testing, quality assurance testing, and system calibrations as assigned.
Diagnose equipment malfunctions using manufacturer documentation, service software, and electronic test equipment.
Replace defective components, perform adjustments, and restore equipment to manufacturer specifications under appropriate guidance.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while ensuring tools and test equipment remain properly calibrated.
Participate in the assigned on-call rotation and provide after-hours support as required.
Demonstrate flexibility to work adjusted schedules based on customer and operational needs.
Documentation & Regulatory Compliance

Complete service reports, work orders, preventive maintenance records, calibration records, and quality documentation accurately and on time.
Maintain equipment history records within the CMMS in accordance with company quality standards.
Comply with applicable Joint Commission, CMS, FDA, OSHA, NFPA, manufacturer, hospital, and company policies and procedures.
Participate in required regulatory inspections, audits, and accreditation activities as assigned.
Inventory & Asset Management

Research and request repair parts under the direction of senior personnel.
Maintain assigned inventory, specialized tools, and test equipment in proper working condition.
Technical Support & Technology

Assist with basic DICOM, PACS, networking, and imaging system connectivity issues while collaborating with hospital IT personnel.
Utilize manufacturer diagnostic software, electronic test equipment, and service documentation to support troubleshooting activities.
Follow company cybersecurity policies and best practices when servicing network-connected imaging equipment.
Training & Professional Development

Complete required technical, regulatory, and customer-specific training programs.
Participate in OEM training, seminars, workshops, and continuing education opportunities.
Develop technical proficiency under the guidance of senior Imaging Service Engineers.
Participate in departmental meetings, safety training, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electronics Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, Military Biomedical Equipment Training, or a related technical discipline preferred.

• 0-2 years of experience servicing diagnostic imaging equipment in a hospital, clinic, military, OEM, internship, Co-Op, or field service environment.
• CBET, CRES, OEM certifications, or military imaging training are preferred but not required.

Basic knowledge of Radiographic, Fluoroscopy, Mammography, CT, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, Ultrasound, and related imaging technologies.
Knowledge of electronic theory, diagnostic test equipment, and electrical safety principles.
Ability to troubleshoot electronic and electromechanical systems.
Ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, service manuals, and technical documentation.
Working knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite, CMMS software, and basic networking concepts.
Equipment & Technology
The Imaging Service Engineer I will work with a variety of biomedical and imaging service equipment and technology, including:

Electrical safety analyzers
Manufacturer diagnostic software
Computers and CMMS software
Microsoft Office Suite
Manufacturer service applications
Material handling equipment
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) protection equipment
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds independently and maneuver larger equipment using appropriate lifting devices.
Vision and hearing sufficient to safely perform technical service work and communicate effectively with customers.
Work is performed in hospitals, imaging centers, warehouses, and office environments .
The position may involve exposure to electrical hazards, ionizing radiation, MRI magnetic fields, chemical cleaners, infectious materials, and moving mechanical equipment.
Compliance with all OSHA, infection control, radiation safety, and company safety policies is required.

Location & Travel
Initial training will take place at either our Appleton, WI facility or our Madison, TN headquarters. Following initial training, you will transition into supporting customers within your assigned territory.
Frequent local and regional travel required.
Occasional overnight travel for customer support.
